Amelia’s Adventures

Amelia is an enthusiastic and organized worker. She puts her heart into every project she undertakes, sees it through with determination, and inspires those around her to strive for excellence. Amelia has worked in a wide variety of work environments and experienced a vast range of diversity in her life. She embraces differences and diversity, and has a thirst for learning about those with whom she works and the community she serves. She is flexible and able to adapt to different situations and environments. While Amelia is an extremely hard worker, organized, and efficient, it is her lust for life, above all, that makes her stand out. She reaches out to those around her with compassion and understanding, and has the ability to connect with all walks of life. Her ability to find humor and lightness in certain situations has always helped alleviate moments of tension or stress, and her energy and enthusiasm bring a certain warmth that is contagious to those around her.

I had the honor of working with and learning from Amelia through an intercultural shipboard program, among students, faculty, and global scholars from 40+ nations. I was instantly impressed by Amelia's vibrant personality, positive attitude, strong initiative, and ability to engage and communicate with others. She is one of those unique individuals who embraces new experiences and opportunities, while making a profound impact on the people she touches and the programs in which she is involved. Any organization would be fortunate to have her.
